 Introduction

The Department of Computer Applications, Sree Narayana College, Vatakara, organized **“INNOTECH – Innovate, Code, Inspire”**, an induction programme for the students of **BCA CUFYUGP-2026**. The programme was conducted on **27 July 2026** at the **Seminar Hall, C-Block**, with the objective of introducing students to the academic environment, opportunities, and learning prospects associated with the Bachelor of Computer Applications programme.

 Objectives of the Programme

The induction programme was organized with the following objectives:

* To welcome and orient the newly admitted BCA students to the department.
* To familiarize students with the BCA CUFYUGP-2026 academic framework.
* To introduce students to the scope and opportunities in the field of Computer Applications.
* To encourage students to develop an innovative and technology-oriented mindset.
* To motivate students to explore programming, coding, emerging technologies, and career opportunities.
* To help students understand the importance of active participation in academic and co-curricular activities.

Programme and Resource Session

The programme featured a resource session by **Ms. Kavya Venu K**, Department Co-ordinator and Assistant Professor in Computer Applications. With her academic background in **MCA and UGC NET**, she provided an orientation relevant to students beginning their journey in the BCA programme.

The session focused on creating awareness among students about the opportunities available in the field of computer applications and the importance of developing technical knowledge, programming skills, creativity, innovation, and continuous learning.

The theme “Innovate, Code, Inspire" highlighted the importance of innovation and coding skills in the rapidly evolving field of information technology. Students were encouraged to approach their studies with curiosity and enthusiasm and to make effective use of the learning opportunities provided by the department.

Outcome of the Programme

The induction programme served as a useful platform for introducing the new BCA students to the academic and professional dimensions of the programme. It helped create an initial understanding of the importance of technical skills, innovation, coding, and continuous professional development.

The programme also provided students with an opportunity to begin their BCA journey with greater awareness and motivation.

 Conclusion

The INNOTECH – Induction Programme of BCA CUFYUGP-2026 was organized successfully by the Department of Computer Applications, Sree Narayana College, Vatakara. The programme provided a meaningful introduction to the BCA programme and encouraged students to develop an innovative, coding-oriented, and career-focused approach to their studies.
