Centralized Admission Process (CAP)

Admissions to the undergraduate programmes are conducted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) of the University of Calicut. All candidates, irrespective of the Quota/Category of admission, must compulsorily complete the online registration through the CAP website: admission.uoc.ac.in.

Four-Year Under Graduate Programmes (CUFYUGP)

As per the CUFYUGP Regulations, students have three broad pathways:

  • 3-year UG Degree
  • 4-year UG Degree (Honours)
  • 4-year UG Degree (Honours with Research)

Seat Distribution

For self-financing programmes in affiliated colleges, the total seats are distributed as follows:

  • 50% Seats: Filled by the Management from among candidates of their choice (subject to eligibility and merit).
  • 50% Seats: Filled by the University via CAP based on Merit and Mandatory Reservations (SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, etc.).
Management Quota Admissions

Candidates seeking admission under the Management Quota must:

  • Compulsorily register their application online in the University's CAP portal.
  • Submit a separate application directly to the college they intend to join.
  • Have their eligibility verified by the college prior to admission.
How to Apply (CAP Process)
Phase 1: Submission of Application

Generate a CAP ID using your mobile number and email. Fill out your student profile, qualification details, and select up to 20 programme/college options based on your priority. Take a printout of the final submitted application.

Phase 2: Online Fee Payment

Pay the online registration fee to complete the process.

SC/ST Students: ₹ 205/-
Other Categories: ₹ 495/-

Allotment & Mandatory Fee

Upon receiving an allotment, candidates must remit a Mandatory Fee (SC/ST/OEC: ₹ 145/-, Others: ₹ 575/-) to claim the seat. Failure to remit this fee will result in removal from further allotments.

Essential Requirements at the Time of Admission

Candidates must produce the following documents in original before the Principal at the time of admission for physical verification:

  • Admit Card (for allotted students)
  • Print out of the CAP application
  • Receipt/Challan of the Mandatory fee
  • Age Proof & SSLC Certificate
  • Qualifying Certificate & Mark List(s)
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) & Conduct Certificate
  • Equivalency/Recognition Certificate (if applicable)
  • Community / Non-Creamy Layer / Nativity / EWS Certificate (if claiming reservation)
  • Certificates for Bonus/Weightage marks (NCC, NSS, etc.)
  • Online Anti-Ragging Undertaking
